A Photo Story: Shape and Form

This is a slightly unconventional Photo Story. It’s part history lesson, part process, and part surprise ending. What initially began as inspiration from an early 1900’s photographer ended up turning into artwork being created with today’s most modern technology. An interesting twist to these final images presented below.

A Photo Story: Newport Bridge

This photo story discusses how to avoid distracting elements when taking landscape photographs. In this analysis, I’m attempting to create an image of the Newport Bridge, a local landmark in Rhode Island, and in doing so came across two obstacles. The first, being a lack of inspiration at the start of the shoot and the second trying to avoid all the distracting elements that you don’t want present in the final photo.

Here’s a short video demonstrating how you can make mundane objects look fantastic! When I first saw these colored glass bottles in the clearance rack at the craft store I knew they could make for an interesting photo. Here is a video documenting my journey to bring these 25 cent bottles to life.
